2 Years on...

Seven hundred and twenty eight days.

That's how long I've been writing this blog. For the most part it's been amazing, and I've loved it, but at the moment everything seems to be piling up. I've been struggling to post on time, struggling to think of ideas and write the words, taking poor quality photos and my quality of writing has definitely taken a hit. Next month I will be taking my AS level exams and at the moment all of my revision and coursework is taking over. I know a lot of bloggers still write and post whilst taking exams, but I don't feel like I'll be able to handle everything. So, I've decided to take a break for a while, and I was going to start next week, but I figured that it may as well be today as this week will be another busy one, and I probably won't get another chance to sit and write this. Hopefully I'll be back at the end of June or in July, after my exams are over, but at the moment I'm just not sure. I hope I'll come back with new ideas and a set style, and later this summer I'm really going to try and work on my schedule, write some back-up posts and find a good way to take photos. I'll update my twitter on a regular basis with general things I get up to, and I'll definitely update when I'll be back, closer to the time.

When I started this blog, I just wanted people to listen. I was recently 15, and just needed someone to be there. Now I'm 17, which albeit, isn't that much older, but I feel like I have grown so much as a person. I've made different friends, become closer to old friends and had so many different experiences. When I was 15 I desperately wanted to help people, and I thought the only way I was going to be able to do that would be to go into medicine, but now, everything has changed. I've realised that, actually, I want to be as creative as possible. Not just on here, but in everything. I've realised that I can help people in different ways, I just have to think of them. The world is my oyster, as they say.

I know this sounds like I'm quitting for good, but I'm not. It was just that when I started typing, I just couldn't stop. The words were flowing, and I knew I needed to say them before they went again. Those of you who follow my twitter will know that I recently added 'Megan' to it. Grace is my middle name, Megan is my first name, but I always used to hate it. So many people were called Megan and I just so wanted to be different. I thought I needed to try and be someone else, but actually, all I need to be is myself, and I think I'm going to use these next few months to work on that.

I love you all, thank you for sticking with me and always being supportive! I hope you all have a lovely few months!

I'm going to come back better than ever, so stay tuned...

Ombré Nails

Hey guys,

I hope you have all had a great week! Mine was brilliant as I passed my driving test! I'm super happy, and now I get to just go anywhere I want! (Within reason, as I'm just using my mum's car for now!) But still, woo, freedom!

I took the photos for this post a little while ago, when I posted my last nail idea. I thought using the colour wheels would make it easier to take the photos, and that my camera would focus better, but sadly, no.

To start with, I painted the whole nail in a shimmery dark blue. You could use any colour for this idea, but since blue is my go-to colour, here it is!

To add the white at one end, I used a small make-up sponge that I ripped a small section off of, and put a small 'puddle' of white polish on an old plate so that it would be easier to put onto the sponge. It creates a stippled look, which I thought was quite cool, but if you wanted it to be smooth, a top coat would sort it. You just have to keep dabbing a little bit of white, or lighter blue, at the end of the nail until you get the desired effect. It's kind of down to personal preference as to how dark/light you want it.

This next bit is totally optional, I just wanted to kind of incorporate a second design into one, so that it was a bit longer, and more interesting. You don't actually have to put it all together on one nail.

I decided to add a line of small gems along the base of the nail, and up the centre to give it a bit more glam, for if you were going out somewhere and wanted it a bit more special looking. Just having the line along the base, I think, looks pretty nice.Adding the line up, and the spots, I think, over-did it a bit, but then, that might just be my opinion!

Sorry this post didn't go up yesterday. I'm having a bit of blogger block at the moment! Also, well done to my friend Mollie, who guessed the last language was Finnish!I hope you all have a lovely week!

What's on my iPhone?

Kamusta,

I saw this idea quite a lot on YouTube last year, although not quite so much recently, and I've only seen a couple of blog posts on it. I think it's kind of run its course for being the new 'in' thing, so now, of course, it's time for me to jump on the bandwagon and join the 'cool squad'! I haven't even cleared anything off my phone for this, so some of my apps haven't been used for a while.

I have a lot of junk on my phone, in the way of old photos that I've downloaded onto my laptop about 5 times, but have never deleted, and music that I almost never listen to anymore. Considering I only have 8gb of storage on my phone, you would think that I would clear them down! (Obviously I also have all of the generic apps that come with the phone, but everyone knows about them, so let's just focus on my ones).

What do you think of my background? I personally really love the quote (found on Pinterest) and all the colours!

I'll start with social media. Over half of the apps on my phone are relating to social media in some way, which is kind of sad I guess. I have a lot of different apps, but my favourites have got to be Twitter and Pinterest. I love being able to chat with you lovely people on Twitter, and I absolutely LOVE Pinterest, which you have probably guessed from my previous posts! I decided to delete Facebook a couple of months ago, because it was taking up space and I was using it way too much. I kind of go through phases for the rest of the apps, like, Tumblr. I don't use it for a few weeks, and then, BOOM, 3 day binge. I kind of like, though, on Snapchat, all the filters and how I can save photos even when my memory is full by putting them on my story, but since I always forget to check it, it's kind of useless.

When I do actually remember/bother to schedule tweets, I use Buffer. It's pretty cool and is easy to use, with a simple layout. You can also schedule posts for Facebook and Pinterest on it too.

There are also other things like YouTube, Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp, but they're not so important. Show my homework is a bit of a waste of space, but it does show me what homework I have and when it's due in for school... sometimes.

I only have 2 games on my phone, and Wordbrain is quite a fun game. There's a square of letters and you have to spot the ones that fit into the square, in the lengths specified by the level. I also have the Disney version of crossy road. If you love Disney characters, then this game is perfect for you! You get to play as and collect loads of different characters from the majority of all the different films! It's actually pretty fun (when it loads of course, which it didn't when I was trying to take screen shots for this post!).

Last week's language was Finnish, and I think this week will be the last of the language guessing posts. I hope you've enjoyed it!

I hope you all have a lovely week!

Nutty Putty Review

Hei,

I hope you guys have had a great few weeks, sorry there wasn't a post up last week! Sorry about the quality of the photos, I took them with my phone and, even though I try really hard, they never come out how I want them. Today's post is all about Nutty Putty.

Nutty putty is a mouldable 'clay' that goes rubbery when it is bakes. I say 'clay' because I'm not actually sure whether that is what it's supposed to be called, it can be used to mould things, like clay, but it has a putty consistency (hence Nutty 'Putty').

We brought the box with 8 colours for £18 at Christmas and gave it a go. It was actually really fun to do. The putty has such a nice feel and you can mould it into so many different shapes! In the box you get plastic knives and spatulas, a rolling pin, a play mat to use it on, so you don't damage any surfaces, a baking sheet and small shape cutters, like a dolphin and heart. The colours you get are: red, blue, green, yellow, pinky/purple, black, white and a glow in the dark one. They come in little re-sealable bags so you can keep them from drying out between uses.

Myself and my brother had a great time making all of the little creations and they are randomly dotted around the house at the moment. They go pretty solid but still squishy and rubbery after baking, which meant they couldn't be broken so easily! It is a great set for pretty much any age and is great fun too. It would also be good for children (over 4) to develop how they use their hands and really help their imagination!

Sorry this is such a quick post today, and sorry for any spelling errors, I tried to type as quickly as possible as I'm now going out to a concert with my cousin and am pretty sure I'm already late! Oops!

I hope you guys have a really lovely week, and don't forget to guess this week's language!
